Hello, my name is Dana Beck. I retired from teaching in the public schools in May of 2018. I was blessed to have taught kindergarten and first grade students during my 29 years of teaching. Now, I am blessed to teach a class where my husband in a professor.
I am married to an amazing, but busy man. My husband, Chris, is a college professor, a pastor in a local church, and he is a magician. My talented husband was named Magician of the Year for 2015 and 2017 for the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring #325 (the Branson, MO ring.)
In 2004, my husband and I were blessed when our son, Lincoln, was born. At six months of age, we realized that Lincoln wasn't meeting certain developmental milestones. That is when we learned that Lincoln had a genetic brain disease. We were blessed to have Lincoln in our home for 3 wonderful years before he passed away. (You may notice that I wear a penny bracelet and earrings. I do that in memory of our son because when he was alive, I told people when they saw a penny to pray for Lincoln.)
While we miss Lincoln greatly, Chris and I stay busy spending time with family and friends.
